Candy Festival in Cartagena - Colombia
It is one of the most touristic food fairs.
When is the festival?
The festival is celebrated from April 10 to 17 of each year. Begins on Palm Sunday and culminates on Easter Sunday.
What do people eat and drink?
In this Festival they eat coconut candies, milk, arequipe, peanuts, corozo, papaya, pineapple, mango, tamarind and guava, among others. And they drink typical regional juices and lots of water.
Where do you eat and who with?
It is eaten in different places of the city. Its inauguration takes place in the Centennial Park and continues in different squares of the Historical Center of Cartagena. All this always accompanied by family and friends.
What do you do before and after the meal?
Before starting people eat many tastings and after eating they can buy sweets and drinks to take away.
